Do You Deserve The Weekend?

So, today is Friday and I am headed home for the weekend before my trip to California and Oregon next week. Check this out!

Today is Friday. This day is the last of the week day or the work week. You should be all excited that you have the weekend. However, do you deserve to rest this weekend? Do you deserve to sit back and reflect and appreciate the time off?

Have you given it every thing you have during the week to really enjoy the moment this weekend when you can sit back and say I deserve this?

If you have just passed through the week without applying yourself or given it everything you have than you shouldn’t be sitting back on weekends and saying I deserve this because the reality is that you don’t really deserve it.

The people that work hard, get up early, apply themselves every day, put in the long hours, serve others, are passionate about what they do and those in their lives are the one that truly deserve to enjoy the weekend.

Bottom line is this . . . You are probably too young to sit back and say I deserve this weekend. I am 37, I finally sit back now after traveling extensively throughout the country, work hours from 5:30 till midnight many nights, speak to thousands of kids, deal with stupid people in airports, hotels, rental cars, etc, and think to myself, “Wow . . . I deserve this.”

Overnight success typically takes 10-15-20 years. Work hard and the time will come when you can really sit back and enjoy all the hard work you have put in.

Work hard. You are too young to sit back. What is going to separate you from your peers?
